A fabulous "day trip" from the cottage, and one we make sure we fit in AT LEAST twice every summer. A lovely lunch of "Swinging Shepherd's Pie", a three-tiered dessert tray with our tea, followed (or preceded!) by shopping at Old Hastings Mercantile. We ALWAYS find the best presents for birthdays, Christmas or "just because". All together a lovely destination, sun or rain.

An absolutely fantastic little place, just off the beaten path. I will be going back again very soon. Excellent food, great prices and fabulous owners.

Very welcoming place to visit. Attended the Dickens Dinner and had a special time. Traditional turkey dinner was done to perfection. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place.

Very cute place in a lovely historic building with great attention to detail. The afternoon tea was quite good, and generous for the price. The service was excellent. My wife and I particularly enjoyed speaking with the owner, Ernie, who told us all about how the cafe started, and his former life as a concert musician.
